With the shutdown we are not currently making any spirits for drinking but that doesn't mean I cant taste my way through some barrels we already have filled. I found a couple exceptional barrels along the way and decided to bottle a few of them.
Rye Whiskey aged 17 months and bottled at barrel strength 112 proof. Very limited supply.
All of the good things about our regions traditional rye mashbill. Rye spice, corn sweetness, but this bottling brings a sophisticated worn leather mid palate note that is rugged but quite pleasant at the same time.
